Following the hugely successful launch weekend which saw 30 teams competing in mini tournaments free of charge, Leeds @Futsal Arena is staging another massive event at the end of the month in order to front the development of youth football in Yorkshire.
The doors to the brand new Super Arena burst open at 9am on Saturday 4th August, with over 200 exciting customers raring to give Futsal a go and compete for glory. Of the 30 teams competing, 5 of them were in a mini Girls tournament for the U12/U13 age groups. Current Everton and England U23 star Lucy Bronze was in attendance to present the medals to the winning team, and over the course of the weekend a variety of Women’s and U16 Girls teams were involved in their own separate friendly matches.
Pitches can now be booked every day between 9am and 11pm from as little as £30; and female teams of all ages and abilities are invited to experience the fantastic facilities that @Futsal offer.
Friday 31st August sees the West Riding County FA (WRCFA) Youth Festival, which will be kicking off at 6pm. The entry fee is £20 per team and prizes for the winners will include a Futsal ball, £50 worth of @Futsal vouchers and also free entry into the WRCFA Youth Development league which will be starting one week later on 7th September.
Stacey Miles, the Women’s & Youth Coordinator at the Arena, is looking for Boys and Girls teams aged U10-U16 to come and compete in the tournament. In order to register your interest contact Stacey now at firstname.lastname@example.org or on 07768 346163.
