England U-17s Edge Closer To Euros

A Natasha Flint treble guides England U-17s to a Euro qualifying win over Israel in Belfast.

England have put themselves in a strong position to make it through to the final round of Euro qualifiers after a comfortable 5-0 win over Israel in Castledawson.

Natasha Flint stole the show with a first-half hat-trick and Vyan Sampson made it 4-0 just before the half-hour mark. Carla Humphrey completed the scoring two minutes after the restart, leaving England just one positive result away from a place in the Second Qualifying Round.

Lois Fidler’s side take on Italy on Saturday evening probably needing just a point to progress.

The Finals will take place in Switzerland next summer.

England U-17s: Caitlin Leach, Frances Steele(C), Molly Bartrip, Leah Williamson, Ellie Stewart (Ella Williams,  41), Vyan Sampson, Sarah Mayling, Natasha Flint, Katie Zelem (Emma Kelly, 76), Carla Humphrey, Rosella Ayane (Jemma Purfield, 57).

Unused Subs - Claudia Walker, Vanna Lee, Sophie Baggaley, Elisha N'Dow.
