Man City Sign Danby And Shepherd

Ahead of their debut in the National Division on Sunday, Manager Leigh Wood has swooped to sign Sarah Danby and Lynda Shepherd.

Sarah Danby joins from National Division runners up Leeds United while Lynda Shepherd signs fresh from playing for WSL side Liverpool Ladies in the first half of the Super League season.

An understandably happy Leigh Wood said “I very pleased to add National and WSL experience to the squad ahead of the league season. As we are new to the National Division and looking to make an impact, it is great that we have been able to add players of this quality to an already fantastic squad.

"The players and staff are looking forward to the challenge the National Division will present and after a good build up in pre-season we feel more than ready for the games ahead”.

Manchester City Ladies face Barnet at Underhill Sunday 19th August at 2pm.
