Next up, two days later, are hosts and last year's runners-up Sweden, whom they meet at the Swedbank Park in Västerås, again at 7pm.
England complete their group fixtures on Thursday April 1st against Turkey, 2pm at the Swedbank Park.
Only the group winners are guaranteed progress to the finals, plus the best runner-up across the six groups.
