Goals from Lynsey Fryers, Jodie Barr, Rebecca McConnell and Emma McDonald were enough to secure Hazelwood a place in the quarter finals of the Irish FA Schools Senior Cup.
Played at Ballysillan Leisure Centre, the game between Our Lady of Mercy and Hazelwood was evenly matched in the first half with both teams having chances at either end of the pitch.
Four goals in the second half secured victory for the North Belfast team, with quarter-final games scheduled to take place week commencing 16 January 2012.
At Cheney Park in Banbridge, Portadown College marked their debut in the competition with a 2 -1 victory over St Rose’s High School (Belfast).
