The match was the first ever international hosted by Garden Village FC and more than 150 fans turned-up to cheer the side on.
Terry Boyle's team dominated in the early exchanges, though Belgium looked at home on the ball. In most of the attacks, Hannah Keryakopolis was prominent for Wales and always looked dangerous on the ball.
Wales lost Chelsea Green after 24 minutes but the change did not affect the flow of the team, which showed some good pace down both flanks, as well as some solid defending at the back.
The all-important goal came just after the hour, when a corner was headed in by Arsenal's Angharad James, the Belgian keeper being well beaten.
Various substitutions came in the second 40 minutes, with Belgium pressing hard for a goal.
Wales held firm and at the final whistle were good value for the win.
The teams meet again on Bank Holiday Monday at Bryntirion Athletic FC at 10.30am and admission is free.
