Scotland did England a favour with their draw in Denmark, which sees England as one of the four seeded sides, therefore avoiding France, Norway and Sweden.
Ukraine claimed one of the last play-off berths by denying Poland passage. They did so with three goals in the last half-hour, gaving conceded an early goal. Olha Boychenko and a brace by Daryna Apanaschenko sent the Ukrainians through as group winners.
These play-offs are not the last chance to qualify for Germany 2011 though, as the losers will then compete in October for the chance to meet the third-placed CONCACAF nation, for a berth in next summer's finals.
