Three points clear at the top of the table, City welcome third placed Spartans to a feast of football at Petershill Park on Sunday. The match kicks off at 12pm on the 3G pitch in Springburn, followed by Rangers against Dundee United at 2pm.

The Spartans match comes just two days before City leave for Belfast in another quest in the UEFA Women’s Champions League, but Boss Peter Caulfield is more than confident his team will have their thoughts firmly on the League on Sunday.

He said, “The Premier League is our bread and butter. If we don’t win this, we don’t play in the Champions League next year, so three points on Sunday is all we are focused on at present. Spartans is a big match for us to come back to, but we had a couple of excellent training matches against Hibernian and Blackburn in the last two weeks and the team are in great shape, so it is a challenge we look forward to.”

Second place Celtic re-open their account with the long trip to Aberdeen. The Hoops will be without striker Suzanne Grant, who injured her hamstring on Scotland duty against Denmark, but the away side will have more than enough cover to cope without their star striker.

Rangers entertain Dundee United after the City game at Petershill and the blues will be expecting maximum points from this encounter as United continue to struggle with problems on and off the park .

Inverness host fourth placed Hibs and will be looking a repeat of their shock 2-2 draw earlier this season. Forfar Farmington welcome a Kilmarnock side who will be hoping to have sorted out a number of their weaknesses which cost them in the first half of the season, resulting in a number of heavy defeats.
