Savage Signs For Rochdale

Rochdale Ladies AFC have today completed the summer signing of 19 year old striker Keeleigh Savage from Everton.

Savage, who is no stranger to the FA Premier League Northern Division, made her senior debut at Manchester City in the 2006/7 season.

Rochdale Ladies AFC 1st team coach Steve Walmsley, who gave Savage her debut at Manchester City, said "We are delighted to be re-united with Keeleigh, as me and the Gaffer (Phil Pearson) have known her since her junior days, at which she has represented both (Rochdale & Man City).

"This is a great signing for the club and a great move for Keeleigh, as we all know what she is capable of achieving with her natural instinct for goal, and more importantly, we really believe that this move will give her a platform to fufill her ambitions.

"We all realise at Rochdale that this is a fantastic division to be in, as we will face an excellent quality of opposition week in, week out. We also feel that we can rise to the challenge with the fantastic set off players that we already have on board, and more importantly we are always looking to attract more quality players that will take us on to that new level.."
