Germany Sail Into U-20 Final

Germany put five past South Korea to reach the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup Final.

Final score from Bochum: Germany 5-1 South Korea.

As it happened:

13 mins (1-0) - A cross is whipped in, Svenja Huth is allowed to get in front of her marker at the far post and steers the ball home.

26 mins (2-0) - It is going all wrong for South Korea, now 2-0 down after Kim Kulig latched onto a poor clearance and her 20-yard drive somehow slipped under the keeper, ironically called Sori.

Shortly before half-time, Alexandra Popp is just a foot wide from her 30-yard free-kick, then Dzsenifer Marozsan is through on goal but pulls her shot narrowly wide.

50 mins (3-0) - Surely that's it now, as Alexandra Popp is allowed to slip inbetween two defenders to force home Germany's third goal.

53 mins (4-0) - Kulig nets her second of the game, Sori again failing to get her body behind the ball.

64 mins (4-1) - Ji So Yun reduces the deficit after beating two defenders.

67 mins (5-1) - Popp slides home a penalty after a defender catches the ball, wrongly believeing it to have gone out (it had hit the bar!).

Attendance: 18,217.
