The Birmingham County FA currently employ three Women and Girls Football Development Officers; Polly Fildes (Birmingham), Shelley Gudgeon (Black Country) and Rachael Blunt (Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire). The next large event we’re hosting is on Wednesday 22^nd September 2010 when England Women’s National Coach Hope Powell will be visiting Birmingham County FA. Working with U16 players from the county’s four girls Centre’s of Excellence; Aston Villa, Birmingham City, Coventry City and Wolverhampton Wanderers, Powell will deliver a practical coaching demonstration on the County FA’s pitch. She will talk through her session involving a full warm-up, main content and cool-down. This event starts at 6pm. Moving inside Rachel Pavlou (National Women's Football Development Manager) will then conduct a presentation on Women and Girls Football from a national perspective. Heather Cowan (Birmingham City Ladies FC Director) will speak about Blues Ladies prospect’s in the new Women’s Super League and there will also be a Question & Answer session with Hope, Rachel and Heather. The Q&A event will be 8 - 9pm. We have a limited number of tickets, allocated on a first come first served basis.
