She Kicks Back: Emma Collins (Offley & Stopsley Women's FC)
Looking to wing her way to success with the Beds & Herts Division 1 side.
1. Name: Emma Collins
2. Age (D.O.B): 22. 05/11/1988
3. Team: Offley & Stopsley Women's FC
4. Position (and have you always played there)? I started playing when I was 13 and have always played on either the right or left wing.
5. Team Supporter/Fave player? I'm an Arsenal Fan and my favourite player is Jack Wilshere because he is achieving so much and is so strong for his age. It's great to watch him devleop more at Arsenal and will hopefully be a key player in the England squad.
6. Occupation/or what you are studying? I am leisure supervisor at a health club and also a personal trainer, training clients inside and outside the gym.
7. Are there other footballers in your family? My family is the most unsporting family there is so it's a mystery where I get my sportiness from!
8. Favourite game you have played in (and why)? The best game I have played in was against an old team I used to play for, not only did we end up winning the game but I also got a hat-trick :)
9. Your best attribute as a player? My best attribute in football is my stamina, as for the full 90 minutes I dont stop running up and down the wing.
10. What are your ambitions in football? To score more goals next season and win some trophies with Offley.
11. Who has been the biggest influence in or on your footballing career? My biggest influence has been watching older players, or those in my position and learning from them.
12. What is the best thing about playing for your team? The best thing about playing for my team is my lovely team mates, not only do we work well on the pitch but also all socialise together off it.
13. If you got to design your team’s kit, what would it look like? If i was a design my kit it would most probably be a red retro adidas kit like from the 80s, I think they look pretty cool.
14. Do you listen to music to get you motivated, or while you train – if so, what tracks? I love music, especially dance! Some of my favourites are Basement Jaxx, David Guetta and Swedish House Mafia, to get me motivated.
15. Who, that plays for your team, should we know more about and why? I think you should know more about my team mate Holly, aka Holsta, as she is pretty crazy :)
